Testimonials

We think we’re great, but don’t take our word for it!  Here are some of the views of parents and carers whose children started school at Rawdon Littlemoor in September 2020.

"We were a little apprehensive about our daughter starting school following the introduction of Covid guidelines and worried that we wouldn’t get the same experience and happy memories of her first year at school. We have found the exact opposite, the school have gone to every effort to communicate with us regularly and share our daughters progress online and via phonecalls.

"We feel very informed about the structure of her day, what she enjoys and what we can do to support her at home. Our daughter really enjoys the learning environment and the variety of activities she is involved in. The buddy system has been really appreciated by our daughter and a great tool to help her settle in and connect with other pupils. We feel the school has a really safe, warm and attentive culture and are so pleased we made the decision to pick rawdon littlemoor as our first choice."Rawdon Littlemoor has been great during such unprecedented times. The communication has been fantastic, both from the school in general and from my daughter's foundation teachers. The use of the tapestry app allows for easy communication directly with her teachers and every comment I have put on has been responded to the same day. During an isolation period the work sent home was appropriate and manageable, and again, communication was great. My daughter loves going to school and is excited to see her teachers, which I think is the highest praise you could get!” - Jennifer Harland

“We are really impressed with the level of communication prior to starting at Rawdon Littlemoor and the weekly newsletters we receive are a great way of being kept informed of upcoming events, celebrations of the children’s achievements and important information. Our daughter is very happy at Rawdon Littlemoor and the staff have been great at making the children feel settled and supported”. - Mr & Mrs Partridge

“Having been to Littlemoor in the past with our Niece and Nephew, we knew that we wanted to have a more in-depth look around ahead of making our choices and for us it definitely stood out in comparison to other schools we had visited.

“The main thing that stood out for us, apart from how well maintained and well presented the school is,  was the variety of displays on show around the school and in each classroom showing all aspects of school life and the topics the pupils were studying

We are now experiencing first-hand how well managed and organised the school is and have been seriously impressed by how they have handled the new school environment given the current pandemic situation” - Phil and Rachael Wilson

“When we first visited Rawdon Littlemoor school to look round as part of our Primary school choices both my partner and my daughter and myself were given a very warm welcome. We had a lovely year 6 student show us around and she explained many things about the school and what her favourite things were. This made our daughter feel at ease very quickly and she was comfortable talking to and answering the student's questions.

We did visit other schools as part of our Primary school choices but we were more than impressed with what Rawdon Littlemoor could offer us and it was our 1st choice school.

We were over the moon to receive our allocated 1st choice in April and our daughter was also really pleased she would be attending here alongside some of her best friends.

Our daughter settled in immediately and loves her teachers and new classroom facilities. She loves school and wants to attend everyday. She comes home every day full of stories of her day's activities and is disappointed when it is the weekend and she can't attend” - Amanda White

It has been a challenging year for all schools – here are some of the things our parents and carers have said to us during a very difficult time for our families:

“Can I pass on my thanks to everyone who is working so hard at school to make the Year 6s feel happy and safe. Our child was nervous returning to school yesterday, but had a super day and was looking forward to returning again today.”

“I just wanted to say thank you for all the planning and communication. It really helps our understanding and being able to explain to our child what is happening/may happen.  No one wants to be in this situation but we definitely appreciate everything you all are doing, and there must be so much scenario planning we don’t see.  Thanks again.”

“Please can you pass on a massive “Well Done” to all involved in getting year 6 back into school.  It has been really reassuring to see what a fantastic effort staff have put in to transforming the school into an appropriate space for our children to return. I must admit I have stolen a couple of ideas for my workplace, as we welcome back our equivalent to “pupils” next week.
