Welcome to the Nightingale Class page
Nightingales are a Year Four class and the teacher is Miss Bate supported by Mrs Hayward.
Our main topics for this year include:
Awesome Egyptians where we will be finding out about the history and daily life from the ancient time.
Rumble in the Jungle where we will be looking at the geography of rainforest in South America with a focus on the Amazon.
Victorians where we will not only be looking at the life of Victorian children but also our local history that have Victorian links.
Each topic includes either a class visit or a workshop to excite and engage the children, as well as to enhance the learning experience.
Our P.E days are Monday (indoor) and Wednesday (outdoor). Children need to arrive dressed for PE on this day.

Homework is being given out on Friday this year and needs to be returned on Tuesday mornings with house points awarded for effort and accuracy. Children are expected to access times table rockstars 3x per week at home.
Please keep practising your spellings and time tables (plus the linked division facts), as it will support your learning in school.
This year, all Years Four children will take part in a national times table test which involves knowing all their times tables up to 12x12.
