Thank you for expressing an interest in the vacancy for a Behaviour Support Worker at our school.
We are looking for someone who wants to support the needs of some of our most vulnerable children and families at Rawdon Littlemoor. You will have the skills and knowledge of supporting primary aged children experiencing social, emotional and mental health challenges and working with them to help overcome barriers to inclusion.
You will be joining our hard-working, supportive and happy staff team. You will be a professional who is versatile, enthusiastic, resilient and able to provide a solution focused approach to securing the best possible outcomes for all children.
The Behaviour Support Worker will work alongside a teaching team and under the guidance of senior staff to support the pupils in targeted interventions to secure effective inclusion for vulnerable children.
Rawdon Littlemoor School is a popular and over-subscribed 1.5 form entry primary school with 315 children on roll and 45 members of staff. We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly teaching assistants to work with children in our school including children with SEND. Ideally you will have the skills and experience of supporting primary aged children and be a professional who is versatile, enthusiastic, resilient and able to provide a solution focused approach to securing the best possible outcomes for all children.
We are a larger than average school with 315 pupils on roll and 50 members of staff and very low staff turnover, so it is especially exciting to have the opportunity to recruit two new members of staff to join the team.
We pride ourselves on our happy children who love coming to school. Our staff team take pride in building positive relationships with children and their parents/carers to support all children to achieve their learning goals and fulfil their potential. One of the features of our SEND provision is the support for Hearing Impaired children and use of British Sign Language in many of our daily classroom routines. Our school curriculum is rich, broad and balanced and is enhanced through lots of visits and visitors and a wide range of extracurricular activities.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, term time only, 8:45am – 3:15pm plus half an hour lunchtime duty. We will consider requests to work part-time.
This post is offered initially as a fixed term contract to 31st August 2024 due to funding.
